In my opinion, this banner is worth considering (though I personally won’t be pulling this time). The main draw is the limited unit, Gundam Double X (EX), which possesses what I consider the most overpowered tag currently: One-Shot Killer. If I had to rate the investment value out of 10, I’d give it a 7/10.

Now, let’s break down what this banner includes.

1. Gundam Double X (EX) & Garrod Ran

Gundam Double X (EX) features the “One-Shot Killer” tag, a category known for housing only top-tier units. The unit boasts a Map Attack (MAP) with impressive length and width. Its unique mechanic scales damage based on your MP—the higher the MP, the harder the hit. It also comes with an Attack Power buff ability.

However, I feel the unit’s true potential is somewhat “held back.” For instance, its EX weapon only has a range of 1–4 tiles; in my view, 1–5 would have been much more reasonable. Regarding the MAP weapon, at 3 stars, its power sits at 4,800. Comparing this to the GP02 I own, which hits 7,200 at the same 3-star rank, I rarely even see the GP02 being used in serious PvP content.

As for Garrod Ran, when piloting a unit with the “Flash System” tag, he gains the following:

  • MP +6
  • Damage Dealt +15% / Damage Taken -15%
  • Zero EN/Ammo Skill (Once per stage): Allows the use of a MAP weapon without consuming EN or ammo.

Personally, I find Garrod a bit underwhelming. For MAP weapons, positioning is everything. Since this unit can only move twice per turn, getting into the optimal firing position is difficult. A pilot capable of 3 moves per turn would be much more effective at maximizing this unit’s kit.

2. Gundam Virsago Chest Break (EX) & Shagia Frost

This pair is not limited. As a support-oriented unit, it features a MAP weapon and a 5-tile range attack that applies a debuff, increasing the Beam damage enemies take. Given that these capabilities are fairly standard and the unit isn’t limited, I don’t see a compelling reason to pull for it. The abilities for both the unit and the pilot are quite average.

3.Jamil Neate & Freeden II

Regarding Jamil, if the target unit is from the After War Gundam X series, he grants a 28% boost to all stats (excluding EN). If the unit also has the Freeden tag, this boost jumps to a massive 44%. While these numbers are impressive, this level of synergy is better suited for Event stages or PvE. In PvP, building a viable team around these specific requirements is quite challenging. However, the inclusion of an HP recovery skill keeps this supporter from being a bad choice.

AsobiTalk Take

  • The only limited unit in this banner is Gundam Double X (EX).
  • While Double X has the excellent One-Shot Killer tag, its MAP weapon power is lacking, and Garrod is limited by his movement range.
  • Virsago Chest Break is easily replaceable by units like Force Impulse (EX) or Aerial (EX).
  • Jamil Neate is top-tier for PvE but remains difficult to slot into the current PvP meta.

Final Rating: 7/10
